The city is waiting for its hero! Kyiv

“In dark times, bright people are clearly visible” - quote by Erich Maria Remarque.

In times of challenging reality, everyone must come together regardless of competition or anything else.
Business, government, society - in times like these they must become one.
The national telecom operator Opti, which has been operating on the market for more than 15 years in 36 cities of Ukraine, is suffering large losses during the pandemic, reaching 65-70%.
Despite this, our company has been implementing the social project “The City is Waiting for Its Hero” for more than three months, which consists of 4 initiatives:

  • Thanks to the support of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the company transported doctors free of charge to 7 regions of Ukraine (Lviv, Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lutsk, Ternopil, Rivne, Kyiv).
  • Together with the local governments of Khmelnitsky and Zhytomyr, the company helped provide free food packages to the communities.
  • Free transport was organized for employees of the national headquarters of the Public Health Center of Ukraine.
  • Due to transport problems, Opti transports people for hemodialysis free of charge in Khmelnitsky and plans to launch such a service in other cities.

“Our goal is maximum unity! Unite as much as possible with those who want to and together defeat this infection - as our drivers say. Business, government, society - in times like these they must become one.” - Petr Kovtun, CEO of Opti.
The project was supported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the Public Health Center of Ukraine, the OKKO company, international associations and departments.
In total, more than 210 thousand hryvnia were spent on the project.
As of April 17, 2020, the company carried out 2,703 transportations for doctors and delivered more than 30 thousand food packages.

Also in the cities where the Opti taxi operates (36 cities), the company has reduced tariffs by 20-25%. These discounts vary depending on the billing. However, in any case, passengers do not have the opportunity to get to the right place for all the money in the world.
To minimize the need for citizens to leave their homes, Opti taxi has launched two more services: home delivery of groceries and delivery of parcels to the recipient (with a limit of up to 20 kilograms). All this can be done by calling 579 or using the Opti app.
