Mykolaiv, the city of shipbuilders, is located at the junction of the Ingul and Southern Bug rivers, 65 kilometers away from the Black Sea. It is divided into four large areas, consisting of dozens of micro districts and vicinities. Mykolaiv Zoo, opened in 1901, is rated one of the best in Europe.
